What events is face painting perfect for?

From birthday parties to corporate events, school events, holiday celebrations, weddings, and festivals, face painting is a perfect way to add some magic and wonder. To ensure guests' safety and full enjoyment, events do require additional adult supervision, as the face painter is only able to focus on one child at a time.
Are your face paint materials safe?

We use high quality, hypoallergenic, FDA approved face paint by world-class brands such as TAG, Global and Diamond FX. It is manufactured specifically for cosmetic use. While we have never had an incident, if there are concerns about a child with sensitive skin, there are a few option: Patch Test: we will paint a small patch and wait 20 minutes. If no reaction occurs, we'll proceed with the face painting. Arm Painting: If the face in particular is sensitive, we can offer an arm painting. If skin Alternatives: if sensitivity is a general concern for the party, you may want to book with an entertainer who does balloon animals as well, and can offer an alternative to the face paint when needed.
What ages is face painting for?

Face painting is an excellent entertainment for children over the age of 3, and can be enjoyed by teenagers and adults as well. At some events, we have as many adults lining up as kids! We typically do not recommend getting children under the age of 2 face painted, as the skin of toddlers under 2 is especially sensitive. We want to ensure your child experiences face paint as a safe and enjoyable adventure.
How many kids can you face paint in an hour?

We can typically paint 10-14 full face paints, or 15-20 cheek paints in an hour, depending on the children's ages and requests (e.g. a heart takes less time than paw patrol). If you require an extension at the end of the booking, please consult the painter regarding their availibity, and call us to discuss pricing for the extension.
How do I remove face painting?

You've enjoyed life as a tiger to the fullest, and feel ready to be human again... but how? Face paint can be removed with water and soap. For even easier removal, use make up remover or baby oil.
How do I prepare for the face painter's arrival?

We require a table and 2 chairs per painter, ready at least 15 minutes prior to the booking, to ensure a timely start. It is best to position the face painter indoors, as strong sun or rain will damage the face paints (and the painter). If you prefer to station the painter outside, it is your responsibility to provide shelter. The face painter should be located at a spot with adequate illumination for painting. Additionally, they should be at some distance from the speakers/DJ, to enable the face painter to communicate with the children and receive their requests.
